Salvarat is a family business, established in 1957 by Salvio Salvi and currently led by Alessandro Salvi, the sole director and son of the founder. The company was established in Tuscany, in Sansepolcro, on the border between Umbria and the Marche, and subsequently expanded throughout Italy, enabling it to offer its services on an international level.
Over the course of its 65-year history, the company has developed a high level of professionalism and expertise, positioning it as a competitive player in the various specialisations of Pest Management, a sector in which it operates.
- 1957: Salvio Salvi, an experienced Pest Control operator, founded Salvarat and has led it since its creation.
- 1969: Salvio Salvi has elected to affiliate with Salvarat, forming a new branch, Agrochimica Toscana, which will produce products for the agricultural sector.
- The 70s: In a relatively short period of time, Salvarat and Agrochimica Toscana experienced significant growth, establishing a strong local presence and gaining market share on a regional and national level. They have become leading companies in the sector in central Italy.
- 1987: In 1987, the company made the strategic decision to focus its efforts on industrial fumigation. This pivotal move allowed it to establish a presence in highly specialized markets from the early 1990s onward.
- 1991: Alessandro Salvi, son of the founder, assumed control of the company and merged the two business units into a single production entity. The result of this merger was Salvarat and Agrochimica Toscana.
- 2004: The process of formalising Salvarat’s commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility begins: the company obtains SA 8000 certification, an international standard for Corporate Social Responsibility, and in the same year it is certified according to ISO 9001, an international Quality Management system.
- 2015-2016: In mid-2015, Salvarat e Agrochimica Toscana initiated a process of corporate structural reinforcement, culminating in the transformation into Salvarat S.r.l. at the beginning of 2016.
- 2022: Salvarat has formalised its transition to a Benefit Company, marking a significant milestone for the company in terms of its commitment and sensitivity to ESG issues.
